Welcome to In Touch Bodywork Studio,

where wellness is not just about the body; it's about nurturing your mind and soul.

 FAQs

  • You have my permission to just show up, however you are. Perhaps, take a moment or two to pause and ask yourself, what am I noticing in my body right now? If there is an emotion that arises, and it feels safe, notice where it might exist in your body.

During the booking process, there will be an intake form to be filled out prior to our session. This helps me get an idea of how to best support you during and between sessions.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before we are scheduled to begin, this will give us time to connect, to discuss your goals for the session and for you to go to the bathroom if needed. If you arrive late, our session will still end at the scheduled time.

  • Whatever feels appropriate to you. My hope is that through our sessions, your body remembers how to reconnect, and this connection continues on your own moment to moment each day.

This work does build upon itself, and when you commit to coming in consistently, whether that’s every week, every other week, once a month, once a season -- When you commit to doing that, you will begin to notice shifts. Overtime, it will become easier to integrate the shifts on the table into your life. Sometimes people decide that they’d like to come more often when we are working on something specific, and that seems to work great! Everyone benefits from consistency, whatever that looks like for you. Please note that I recommend scheduling at least a couple of sessions ahead if you are coming monthly.

  • Thank you for honoring the time that I set aside personally for you. If you are unable to make your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. Sessions that are canceled within 24 hours of your appointment will be charged half of the price of the scheduled service. Please reach out to me immediately by phone, either text or call.

  • Glad you asked! During sessions, my focus is to help the body calm and regulate the nervous system. My style is fluid and slow, not fixating on ‘knots’ but rather soothing and nurturing.  Using slow movements during sessions to target the nervous system, helps to calm the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight response) while stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest response), resulting in overall well-being and deep relaxation. Because the nervous system plays such a key role in all bodily functions, addressing stress and nervous system imbalances, the body can heal itself more effectively.
